OUR STORY

Koehn Brothers Industries, Inc started with two brothers who had a passion for building and innovation. In 2004, at 23 and 21, Nathan and Jason set out to fulfill a dream of building custom hot rods and 4x4’s. Unfortunately, they quickly saw the small window of demand in the market for speciality hot rods, where the income would not pay the bills.

Nathan and Jason promptly pivoted, and developed an expertise past just custom vehicles. The change lead them into the world of custom metal work and fabrication. The diversification and expansion began with a securing of a shop, furthering the need for education, and expanding their portfolio.

These changes, along with years of experience and hard work, have lead Koehn Brothers Industries Inc., to what you see today: A company with national and international products and client base, vast experience and knowledge, resulting in pieces, work, and reputation based on a foundation of honesty, transparency and integrity.

Meet Nathan.

Coming from a family with a long history in the trades, Nathan knew design and building were going to be a natural part of his future.

Nathan attended BCIT for welding in 2002 and has since gone on to complete CWB Weld Supervisor and CWB Welder certifications, continually furthering his experience and knowledge of the welding industry.

Nathan is a natural entrepreneur and therefore is able to partner and see the vision and passion behind our clients needs.

Nathan has been married for 15 years and is a dad of four whose kids love coming by the shop and learning the tricks of the trade.

Meet Jason.

Growing up Jason has always had a passion for building and fixing things. Soon after completing the Applied Mechanics program at BCIT in 2004, Jason joined his brother in starting Koehn Brothers Industries, Inc.

Over the years Jason has learned and applied his skills and abilities ‘on the job’. His favourite projects are those that challenge him to learn something new and those that allow him to express his creative side. Jason has a unique ability to problem solve and provide ‘out of the box’ solutions throughout the design and build process.

Since starting the business, Jason has become a husband and father of two. As his children grow he looks forward to teaching them the practical skills of using their hands to fix and build just as his father taught him.
